Fountain Hills City Tour

Fountain Hills ArizonaFountain Hills could be described as an upscale community with hometown character, offering an unparalleled richness and quality of life for its residents.  Named for its regularly spouting fountain, rolling hills and tranquility, Fountain Hills is a community of rare beauty, breathtaking scenic vision, and small town charm.  From the center of a man-made lake, one of the “world’s highest fountains” sends a snow-white jet stream of water 560 feet into the blue desert sky every hour for 15 minutes.  It is the centerpiece and landmark of Fountain Hills.

Fountain Hills has grown 130.4% in just thirteen years to a population of 23,105 residents in 2005. It is bordered by the McDowell Mountain Regional Park on the north, the Salt River Indian Reservation on the south, the Fort McDowell Indian Reservation on the east, and the McDowellMountains on the west.  The majestic McDowell Mountains separate Fountain Hills naturally from Scottsdale and the rest of metropolitan Phoenix.

The views are nothing less than breathtaking wherever you are in town.  The community’s most valuable asset is its beauty and natural terrain that provides a wide range of outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, boating and extraordinary golf courses.  There are neighborhood parks spread throughout the town with green grass, shade trees, and paved walking paths.  And, even in those hot summer months, there is a casino nearby and plenty of shops for easy entertaining.
