Higley is a community in the Southeast Valley of Metro Phoenix that primarily consists of the zip code 85236.  The town was named after one of the community’s first landowners, Stephen Weaver Higley, and originated as a plot of 40 acres purchased in 1905.

Today, the vast majority of Higley has been annexed into either the neighboring town of Gilbert or the city of Mesa, primarily the former.  Though, Higley does still have its own school district that services Higley students as well as some Gilbert residents.
